Chris > Mojave National Preserve, California - Hart's junk yard includes tin (not aluminum) cans.  The cans were filled from a hole on the bottom that was then plugged with lead.  The lead plug dates the cans to around 1900.
Chris > Mojave National Preserve, California - This chimney is all that remains of Hart, a gold-mining town founded around 1900 and abandoned in 1910.  At its peak, Hart had one newspaper, two hotels, and 400 residents.
