The South Point Casino sponsors annual BMX bicycle races. The three-day event, started Friday (7/13/18) and ended Sunday (7/15/18). Children and adults from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia and China, raced around the dirt track taking jumps and fast turns. I enjoyed photographing this event despite the poor lighting and access restrictions. I also enjoyed chatting with the contestants’ family many of whom were bikers.

To help Las Vegas celebrate the Year of the Dog, China Lights was performed at the Craig Ranch from Jan. 19 to Feb. 25, 2018. The Lantern Festival included hundreds of larger-than-life, fully-illuminated, lanterns, as well as Chinese cultural performances and special handicrafts.
