Valley of Fire, NV
Drive sixty miles north of Las Vegas and you’ll find 40,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone mixed with gray and tan limestone. This is Valley of Fire State Park. To see how the park got its name, you should arrive 2 hours before sunset. And to enjoy hiking among the formations, you should plan your trip during the winter.
